the shoe/diaper deal!

This is truuuuly a great deal- and thanks SHELBY for hooking me up with it!

SO here goes...
FIRST, go to Diapers.com. There are 2 things you need to know prior to "shopping." First, there is a promotional code FIRST49 -this will take $10.00 off for FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS ONLY (which I happened to be) your purchase of 49.00 or more. THEN there is a 2nd code SPRING40 (which expires on 4/11 and can be used by ANYONE- not just first time customers) that takes 40% off of shoes or clothing when you purchase a pack of diapers!!!

Here's how my deal worked out:

I bought THESE, THESE, and THESE. I also got a pack of diapers (Huggies- 9.99... BUT if you have a newborn or a baby on the way, you can get a pack of Luvs for 6.99 to make it cheaper!) First enter the code FIRST49- that will take 10.00 off. And then, by buying the pack of diapers, and entering the code SPRING40 it automatically takes each pair of shoes down (40% OFF!!!!- which meant 7.50 Robeez, SKR, etc.) So my total was 27 even- and got free shipping because (originally) the order was over 49.00! Get it? If not, message me!

Happy shopping!

Oh- and if you do end up doing "the deal" let me know what shoes you get!! I am curious to see what your totals came out to w/ buying different shoes/diapers :)

The Diaper Deal.

Here it is... and I am going to TRY and explain it the best I can! Walgreens is SUPER tricky... even though I've been "wagging" for awhile, I still get my transactions messed up!!!

First off, in order to do this deal you HAVE TO HAVE HUGGIES MANUFACTURER coupons!!! So those of you who have been good couponers and have been clipping away, it will be easier for you & you'll be able to do the deal more. If you haven't clipped coupons or signed up at huggies.com (that's where the BEST coupons come from!) search the internet for some printable coupons. Wait... did you REALLY think I'd make you SCOUR the internet? No... here's the link :) PRINT 'EM HERE!

Secondly... you need a crash course in couponing at Walgreens. At Wags, they will allow you to combine a WALGREENS IVC (instant value coupon- found at the front of the store, or in this case...mine was from a Walgreens kids coloring book (more on where to find this book later). You also earn Register Rewards- this is how you can get things at Wags for so cheap. HOWEVER- lets say you want to use 1 Register Reward, 1 Manu coupon and 1 Wags coupon on one pack of diapers, you need to have 2 "filler" items- (I used 35 cent caramels today). Get it? The amount of coupons have to match up with the amount of items.

Third... once you have your manu coupons all in order, try your hardest to find a Walgreens Kid activity book (they're sometimes located by the pharmacy). The book itself costs 1.99 I believe, but there are so many valuable coupons in it. AND the best part, you can reuse those coupons again and again! SO make sure to ask for your IVC back!!! After you have the Wags IVC Huggies coupon, you're set to go.

Here's how I did the deal... step by step:

Step one: Pick up a pack of Huggies :) and a CHEAP item (such as the 35 cent caramels!)

Step two: Go to the COSMETICS counter to pay (especially if you're in the Jax. area- they are much nicer about coupons at the cos. counter!)

Step three: Hand the cashier the huggies & 1 caramel and then your two coupons: the manu. q & the Wags IVC. Diapers are on sale this week for 8.99. With whatever manu q you have (I had 2.00 ones) and the Wags IVC, this will bring your total to 5.99 per pack- BUT WAIT! After you pay, you will receive a $3.00 Register Reward! Soooooo.... turn around and do the diaper deal again. and again. and again. (or if you have a ton of coupons like I did... 6 times!)

Step four: Hand the cashier the huggies & TWO caramels... then your coupons: the manu q. the Wags IVC, and the Register Reward. THIS time your total should come out to be $2.99. Or around there.

I decided to go a different route however, because Ryan needed some shower gel. This is what I did:

Trans #1: 1 Dove shower gel -5.99
I got back $6.00 in register rewards (that's right- its like the shower gel was FREE!)

Trans#2: 1 pack of Huggies-8.99 & 2 caramels.
I used the $6.00 RR, $2.00 Manu q, and $1.00 Wags IVC bringing my diaper total down to 86 cents. Yes folks, I paid 86 cents for a pack of diapers :) I ALSO got back the $3.00 RR.

Trans #3: 1 Dove shower gel- 5.99
I used the $3.00 RR from transaction #2 and paid $3.18. BUT got back a $6.00 RR which I then turned around and used on another pack of diapers, again paying 86 cents.

OMG that is the most confusing thing I've ever read. But I really can't figure out how to explain it any easier!! AHHH! Shelby? Any ideas??? :)

**If you want to know the links of the coupons, ask! I am too tired to post them all right now ;)

Another semi-good deal is on fruit snacks at Meijers this week- IF your child eats fruit snacks (which mine does). Well actually I reward her with them, so it takes quite awhile for us to get through an entire box... but I still got a few & I'm planning on getting a few more because its a good price for them & they have a shelf life of like 2 years!!

Betty Crocker fruit snacks are on sale for 1.50 @ Meijers this week
-if you buy 3, you get 1.50 Catalina back to use on your next b.c. fruit snack purchase... if you buy 4, you get 2.50 back.

I did 2 trans.
1st Trans:
4 B.C. fruit snacks- 1.50 each

Total before coupons: 6.00, got 2.50 back
coupons used:
2 50 cents off 2 BC fruit snacks (doubles to 1.00)

Total after coupons= 4.00
less the 2.50 you get back, its 1.50 for 4 boxes of fruit snacks! :) Pretty good!

Again, just ask if you need links to the coupons! Happy shopping!

Jessy's Garage Sale & the LUGNUTS!.... oh & some ketchup :)

Friday morning our good friend Jessy was having a giant (and I mean GIANT) garage sale. Maeve and I decided to stop by- I knew Jessy would have some great things that we could use and it would also be a nice chance to visit with her and the kids since they're moving to NC :( Both Maeve & I came out of the garage sale very happy girls! I got a green bumbo seat for the new baby (I had a purple one but something about purple & boys...I just couldn't put him in it!) and a huge bag of these adorable little Gap striped sets. Maeve hit jackpot when Olivia showed her this giant "DORA the Explorer" house... and all the trimmings. I knew the last thing we needed was more cluttery toys but Maeve just L-O-V-E-S Dora and I thought it would be sweet to have an old toy of Olivias. So we got that too :) And this house (well as Ryan puts it, the Dora VILLAGE, because its so huge) has been the hit of the weekend so far! Every time she comes into the living room she goes "OHHHHH! DORRRRRA!" We're still deciding where its final "home" will be- meaning its gotta be moved off our coffee table at some point. But I really don't want to clutter up Maeve's room any more than it already is... so it might just take up a huge space on our floor somewhere...
here are some pics of Maeve & her Dora "village"

Friday NIGHT, we (my parents, brothers, cousin, Ryan & I) brought Maeve to a lugnuts game. I was excited for 2 reasons: FOOD & FOOD. I was craving a hotdog with mustard and onions, nachos & lemonade. I got all 3 :) Unfortunately it was a rainy, chilly night. Still though, it was a LOT of fun. Maeve did wonderfully- surprise, surprise for us! I thought by the end of the 1st inning we'd be heading up to walk laps with her. She really enjoyed watching the boys run around and all the music and lights. We were sitting incredibly close- which was a tad bit scary- balls were flying in our direction and I had this vision of a ball nailing either Maeve or I in the head. Thankfully all was good. After we ate (which took about 3 or 4 innings to do!) my mom and I walked Maeve around to the little kids park/section. How wonderful!! Its an entire area full of inflatables and activities for kids- Maeve burned off a lot of the sugar she had consumed in that little park! Instead of walking back over to our seats right away we decided to watch the game on this little hill- it was a great view and Maeve could run up and down, up and down. She also loved standing and climbing on the gate/railing and looking down- I got a lot of cute pictures :)
The night ended with fireworks and screaming- yes, screaming. Maeve still hates fireworks and these fireworks we're pretty dang close- so the little lady wasn't happy. After fireworks we hightailed it out of the park, walked the half a mile to the car (UGH) and drove home in a lovely silence (well Ryan & I were talking) due to a very tired bubba cakes. What a fun night!

EDIT- sadly the ketchup coupon is no longer available... luckily there is an AWESOME DIAPER DEAL THIS WEEK AT CVS & super cheap fruit snacks & free danimals yogurt at Meijers! I will update later with all the details! :)
***Even though today isn't Sunday- I just had to post this SUPER QUICK AND EASY "deal!" @ Meijers this week Hunts Ketchup is on sale for 1.00- print off as many Mejier Mealbox Hunts Ketchup coupons as you want, and wah-lah free ketchup!

Go HERE ... click where it says "Specials" in the little widget box on the right hand side of screen. It will take you to a rolling list of coupons... I believe the Hunts coupon is on the 3rd page.

fun times! :)

I was scouting out the diaper deals this week because believe it or not, we're running low. I thought I was stocked up for a LONG TIME, and yeah, my stock pile did last a good few months... but anyways, its time for more diapers. Krogers is having an amazing deal and our Jackson Krogers is very, VERY lenient with coupons! :) Here's what the deal is:

If you buy 15 dollars in Huggies care products (can be anything- diapers, wipes, shampoo, etc.) you get 3 dollars back instantly. PLUS if you have a Krogers card, you can load a 3 dollar off coupon right onto it- so really, it takes of 6 dollars!!! I also happened to be very stocked up on Huggies coupons. Here's how it worked out for me-
I did 6 transactions-1 pack of jumbo diapers and 4 packs of wipes per transaction...

8.99-diapers
1.79-wipes
the total came out to be around 17 bucks-
-6 dollars in KROGERS savings
-4 (.75) wipes coupons
-1.50 off diapers

SOOOOO my end total for each transaction was: $6.57 :)

What a good day huh?? :) I highly suggest going and stocking up on some Huggies!!! It's a heck of a deal!

******
The other fantastic part of my day was at the TOY HOUSE (one of my fave. places in Jackson). My mom went with us and she actually bought Maeve her very own playhouse!!! I am soooooooo excited! It's getting delivered this afternoon and I am seriuosly counting down the hours till its here and on our deck! Maeve really has the best nana ever :) As soon as the house gets here I'll take lots of pics of MaeMae enjoying her new playhouse :)

Sore Bum :(

Maeve is going to be 18 months on the 11th (OMG!) and in her 18 months of life, never- not once has she had bad diaper rash. Once in awhile her hiney gets a little red but destin always does the trick. Earlier this afternoon, before her nap, I noticed she was definitely cutting her bottom teeth (I had THOUGHT she was, but now you can see them poking through, so I definitely know she is). Normally when she is teething its HELL- she doesn't sleep, she runs a low fever, gets a runny nose, is super cranky, etc. etc. etc. BUT never a diaper rash- and almost every mom I've talked to has told me how bad their baby's diaper rash would get during teething. Now I know what they're talking about...

MaeMae woke up from her nap today feeling fine- she was wet so I changed her and noticed her bottom was a bit pink- but not too bad. I put a bit of destin on it and she seemed good to go. About a half hour later she had a poo poo, so I changed her again- it was diarrhea and her poor booty was beat red and BLEEDING! How the heck did that go from pinkish to bleeding in a half hour???? Of course as I was wiping her she was in complete misery- and she was squeezing her butt together so tight I couldn't even really get her clean. So I thought maybe a warm bath might feel good- WRONG- I am pretty sure I traumatized her. I stood her in the bath, she sat down and looked at me and let out one of those really long, silent screams that eventually turns into an ear shattering howl. It was horrible! So I picked her up sopping wet and we went back to the changing table... I eventually bent her knees up to her tummy so I could get the destin on. She seems to be doing better now- but you can clearly tell that she's just not feeling up to par. Poor doll :(

Do You Have A Babe In Diapers????

If so..... you HAVE TO, HAVE TO, HAVE TO get in on this diaper deal at Walgreens. It's incredible!!! I'm too lazy to find my camera, take a pic of my haul and then load it on the computer... maybe later tonight I will, but anyways I came out with 12 jumbo packs of Huggies diapers & 6 mega packs of Huggies wipes (the 250 count ones!!!) for a GRAND TOTAL OF: $42 & some change

Here's how it worked out:

Huggies Diapers are on sale for 10.00
Huggies Wipes are on sale for $6.00
If you spend $25.00 on Huggies stuff you get $10.00 BACK in Register Rewards...

So for each transaction I bought 2 packs of diapers and 1 pack of wipes- bringing my total to a little over 26.00.

26.00
-10.00 RR
-5.00 Manu Coup.
-3.00 Manu Coup.
Total of each transaction= $7 and some change...

I did 6 transactions :) and the cashier was totally fine with it!

I also worked out the value of my purchases... 12 packs of Huggies for 10 each= $120
6 packs of wipes for $36.00
SO I got around $160 dollars worth of diapers/wipes for around 40 bucks!!!!!! Yea!

********
Oh I had some $3.00 huggies coupons left and went to Meijers to go grocery shopping- and bought 3 things of wipes which were $2.51- the self scanner machine let me use the coupons EVEN though there was an overage of 50 cents on each thing of wipes! So I actually MADE a buck fifty for 3 things of wipes... cool huh? :) Made my day!!!

Go to coupons.com or couponbug.com to print off your huggies coupons!!! And then get your booty to Walgreens and STOCK UP!!!! You can print up to TWO of each Huggies coupons- so 2 $3.00 coups and 2 $5.00 coups. I'm kinda lucky b/c I have access to a TON of computers- my home comp, my dad's work comp. my parents home comp. and Ryan's work comp- so I get LOTS of coupons! :)
