Yes, It's 4:30 A.M.

SO we had a wonderful Fathers Day... we spent the bulk of the day just the 3 of us which was wonderful, because we never get that time together. And then we had to do all the family duties later that night... but it was great because my Grandma was in town and she helped me cook some delish. mahi mahi... My parents are in Vegas so we didn't get to see them at all Sunday :( Weird not having your dad here on fathers day, but fine since I really wanted this fathers day to be about Ryan. Anyways, we had a good meal, we ate the cake that was decorated by Maeve :), and Ryan opened his gifts, which included a really cute shirt, some boxers and a pedegg... Have you all heard of a pedegg? Its for boys (or girls I guess) with really rough feet. You scrap your heels with it and if flakes off all this calloused skin, gross, but it works! Ryan did it for like 5 minutes and got a heaping pile of the junk. I tried it but only got a teeny bit... but I have super smoooothe feet, what can I say? :)

Then we put Maeve down for the night. Everything was going smoothly until 3 A.M. She woke up a little restless, so we tried to comfort her back to sleep... NOPE! Didn't work. Then we tried the trusty old bottle technique that usually works, but not this time! So we stuck her in her playpen (which is where she sleeps for the moment- I think we're going to transition her to the crib STAT- tomorrow) and she has been screaming since 3:30 A.M. Yup, for about an hour and a half she's been screaming and wailing, "MAMAMAMAMAMAMA!!!!!!!!!" It is by far, the HARDEST thing about this whole parenting gig. I am not a stickler when it comes to things like that- I run in and pick her up and hold her, or let her just sleep with us, or basically give her whatever she wants. I've been doing that now for almost 9 months. So Ryan and I have decided enough is enough, if we ever want this child out of our bed/bedroom we have to put our foot down. So we've been making the transition to the crib- in her own separate room :(. To say the least, it hasn't been going so well.

Well, my little one is still screaming as I am finishing this post... so I think I'm going to try and sneak in and hold her for a bit... totally against the "rules." But its too hard to let her cry it out.
