HOLY BIG BABY ALERT.

I got my much wanted ultrasound today... not sure if that was a good idea or not- I guess I'll find out in a few weeks. The good news is everything looked fine (according to the tech- I didn't think they were supposed to tell you things like that) AND the baby is head down!!! the bad news is they only have me measuring 10 days ahead... BOOOOOOOOO. There is NO WAY my due date will be changed. And the really scary news is that right now, TODAY, this baby weighs 6 lbs. 8oz. To put this into perspective for you, when I delivered Maeve at 39 weeks and 1 day, she was 6 lbs. 9oz. I AM FREAKING OUT. Several breakdowns have ensued since getting the news that "I'm looking at a pretty big boy." (those again, were the tech's words). I have about a zillion thoughts in my head right now... I want this baby OUT OUT OUT... as horrible as that sounds, he needs to come OUT. I cannot deliver a 9 lb. baby- i just can't. I almost ended up with a c-section pushing Maeve out. I am terrified...scared...super emotional...etc. I might chain myself to the hospital doors starting around 37 weeks if they won't induce me...

When I get my brain back I'll post a pic of the "big boy." He's a spitting image of Ryan... (it was only a 2d ultrasound) but you could still see hair, eyelashes & his GIANT lips. He's a super chunk... wow.

Just remember that they can be off by a whole pound!! Try not to stress out about it too much, he could really be like 5 pounds!! The second time pushing is soo much easier than the first too! I'll keep my fingers crossed for a 7 pounder :)

you're too funny. If it makes you feel better I delivered an eight and a half baby and a nine and a half baby! You CAN do it. (Although I am thankful I didn't know he was going to be that big :)!)

We're about the same size, so it can be done :)! Thanks for the update.

Haha..I was worried that you would say that!!! I'm sure your little body can only hold so much weight in, I'm sure you'll have him before he gets too big! Even if he's a whole pound more than Maeve, that's really not too bad. Just remember fat smooshes!!

YOU can do it!!! If I can push out a 9 pounder, you can! He won't be nine pounds :)

He's going to be perfect! Try not to stress about it. I'm still guessing he'll be small like Maeve was!
