Weekend Recap (thus far)

- Henry's been naked for 2 days...
-  Ryan and I had an AWESOME date night (last night) at Coquina Beach.  It was sooooo nice :)  We sat under the awning and listened to the rain... and ocean.  And drank mojitos... every once in awhile, we'd say something to the effect of, "Wow.  We live here!"  or "Hey, did you know we live in paradise?"  As sucky as the financial struggles are, at the end of the day we've got the dang beach.  I actually just made a vinyl sign for our entryway saying "If you're lucky enough to be at the beach, you're lucky enough."
-Our Michigan trip is coming up.  I have butterflies when I think about driving around Jackson.  In my perfect world, I'd never go back.  I'd have all my friends and loved ones come down and visit here :)  There's a part of me that is afraid I'll start missing it again if I see it... at the same time, I love where we're living now... sorry- this is crazy confusing. ;)
-MAN!!!  I got 2nd place in The Paper Mama's photo challenge.  I got 2nd place last week too, but THIS week there was a PRIZE!  UGHHH! Missed it by one ;)  But congrats to the winner on the super adorbs picture :)

The Paper Mama Photo Challenge

(this was my entry;)

-Holy storms.  I love storms, but we've been covered in a blanket of rain for what seems like a week.  All I want to do is sleeeeeeeep!
- There's been a great debate over the cat's name.  Did I ever mention that when we brought Primrose in to be spayed, they instead neutered "her?"  Yeah, "shes" a boy.  It's all good though.  I thought we should just keep her name Prim, but Ryan wanted a boy name (I think he's feeling outnumbered?) so for a bit we were calling him Wilco... but I wasn't real fond of it.  Right now we're calling him Forks... I kind of like it.  We'll see if it sticks.  Either way, we lucked out and got one suuuuweeeeet cat!
-My mind was blown when I saw this.  Really, go watch it- caaaa-razzzy!  Dominique Moceanu has always been my favorite gymnast.  I "peaked" (level 8!  haha :) when she was in the 1996 Olympics.  So she was a huge hero of mine.  I've loosely followed her since;  Ryan even got me tickets to a magnificent 7 reunion (years back) and I was able to get her autograph.  Anyways, I saw this on TV last night and was in tears.  Crazy.
-And with that, I'm off to the froyo place (I need an intervention!)

Haha about your cat.....I did the same thing, named "Oliver" before we knew she was really an Olivia...needless to say his name remained Oliver. :)

I love looking at your pictures, Ashley! They're so absolutely gorgeous! Plus they make me dreamy for the beach! :-) Nice "slogan" for your home, too...reading it will surely make the tough times easier! All the best!
