froyo beach loving fools

My kids (okay, and I) LOVE frozen yogurt.   And I'm fairly sure they like the prep work more than the eating.

It's like an intense science experiment, Maeve & Henry each with a giant cup in their hands, figuring out what flavor to get, and then, the most challenging part comes; what to top their yogurt with.  I do have to say, with all the amazing froyo places around here, the task of choosing your flavor and toppings is a bit overwhelming... more like overwhelming in that "I want to clap my hands and jump like a monkey" type of feeling.

Anyhow, we've got our fave. froyo place:  Coco Mangos.  We love, LOVE this place for a handful of reasons.  To start with, its across the street from our very good friends the Harps.  So whenever its a coco's night, it usually turns into a Harp night too :)  The decor of this place is simply adorable.  Major props to whomever decorated it.  The yogurt and toppings are by far the best in town (they have BLUE oreos and every kind of mochi ball thing you can imagine!), but the prices and people are what keep us coming back for more (and more, and more).  Thursday night is "locals" night and we are able to get a cup of yogurt and toppings for 4, for about 6 bucks!  That's some crazy cheap food and entertainment right there! :)

Last night we got a flier in the mail for a new yogurt place that had just opened up, closer to our neck of the woods; as in up the street.  It came with coupons, so of course, after dinner, we clipped some qs up and tried out the new place.  I have to say, it was good, but it wasn't Cocos.

We still had a great time and since we were out and about, we decided to do a quick run on the beach.  Literally.  We parked the car, and then let the kids RUN on the beach.    Heaven I tell ya!  By the time we got home, the kids were sandy and sleepy.  What a fab combo :)
