Friday Night Leftovers & a Few Photography Bits.

BWS tips button
  • Henry bit me this morning and broke skin- I don't need a shot or anything, do I?
  • I made chocolate chip mini muffins this morning for the kids- they've been the biggest hit ever. Why didn't I make them sooner?
  •
    7/365

  • Lola (the boxer) ate our Comcast remote...and a box of butter
  • The kids have been taking great naps- I'm not sure if its because they have colds and aren't feeling 100% or if they're still jet-lagged/tired from the Florida trip.
  • I have yet to unpack from Fl.  Yuck.
  • Henry is 14 months now and uhhhh, not saying much.  Is that normal?  I'm trying not to stress over it, but the only "words" he makes are grunts and "woah" noises..  Once in a blue moon he'll say "dada" or "mama" but that's about it.  Hmmm...  It's really hard not to compare Maeve, who is currently playing with her V-tech map of the US, naming of states like, "Louisiana" and "Mississippi."
  • I need some new leggings.   I've lost so many pairs in transit.
  • I'm on a cooking strike tonight because I dropped a dozen eggs this morning... and it ticked me off... they gooped all over the floor, making a giant mess.  I spent a good 30 minutes de-salmonella-izing the kitchen this morning.   I'm over the kitchen tonight.  Meaning, we're going out.  Thank GOD! :)
And a few photo challenges... just because I <3 them ;)

"Fresh"... nothing fresher than SWEET ICED TEA! :)

Iris is now 15 months and STILL not saying much at all. She only says "mama", "dada", and "hi". Her and Henry could hang out and communicate with their strange noises:)

My Bean didn't talk much at all for a long time, now she's two and she just won't stop! I think it's totally normal.
Those chocolate chip muffins look fabulous!

Hello from FNLO...

My Little K is 1 month from being 2 and barely says anything. She is capable of saying a good 50-60 words, but doesn't. When no one is around, and she does not know anyone is paying attention she chats up a storm with her dolls, but to us...notta. She didn't even really start saying anything till @18 mos. We had the birth to 3 program come in to evaluate her, it is a free service provided by your state, you should look into it, just to set your mind at ease, or to get the free help you may need.

Good Luck~

First, great photos! Love the first one! Is that Ryan and Maeve? Second, according to Dr. Tim, the biter is at more of a risk for infection, than the bitee (Caitlin used to bite Connor - all the time). As long as the biter is UTD on their shots your good. Third, the muffins are my kids fav, most requested classroom snack I've ever made. Lastly, usually the second (and third, etc) born children do not talk as quickly or as clearly as the first born does. I always chalked it up to the fact the first born needs to talk to let us know what they want. While the second, gets snacks, drinks, etc. without even asking thanks to big brother/sister. Enjoy your dinner out!!!!

HAha.. I love that Lola ate the comcast remote, and butter.. Mazie at 2 dozen pb cookies the other day.. :) Colin is saying a few words, but is very choosy about when he uses them.. He can sign more, but chooses to point and grunt instead...
