I'm No Martha...

Remember way back when I was in that crafting kick?

My husband was so thankful when I finally decided to put the sewing machine away.

However, I truged down to the basement and its reappeared on our dining room table.

I am BOUND and determined to make my kids these.

I went to Jo-Ann's this afternoon and picked out some cute, coordinating fabric. I'm going to make an owl for Maeve and a racoon/cat type thing for Henry. And yes, I'm planning on using lavender scented rice.

I will post ((later)) on how this project turns out.

In the meantime, are you making any homemade gifts? If so, please share!

OH... and have you entered THIS give away? Come on... a $15.00 gift card for leaving a comment as simple as "hi!" :) You can do it... :)

Wow, I am LOVING this idea. I wish EHOW had a photo or something. I'm having a hard time envisioning how it's going to turn into an animal? I would LOVE to make this for my girls. We actually use my hubby's giant tube sock filled with rice. They can definitely use an upgrade, haha. Let me know how it turns out. (pictures too if you don't mind! :) As for me, the only thing (aside from the cookies I make for my family every year...) that I am hand making is crocheted hats for the kiddos in the family and I'm making an apron for my little one with a matching chef's hat. :)

Hi! I just read your comment on my blog. I'm so glad you found me! (And that I could help you with that burning roll question...lol.) Your blog is cute - I keep thinking my design may change with the seasons. Oh well, we'll see. I really want to know how these bags turn out so let us know!
