Yup, I'm Crazy.

I really have been feeling great so Black Friday plans were still on in my book. Everyone else however, (primarily family at Thanksgiving dinner) said I was nuts. Yeah, yeah I guess it is a bit nutty to go out on the busiest shopping day of the year with a 4 day old baby and stitches in your nether regions... but there were a few things I desperately wanted!!! I figured since I'd likely be up at 4 anyways, I might as well feed Henry, put on some scrubby clothes and venture out for an hour.

Ryan's parents came over to sit while Maeve slept. Ryan, Henry and I got out of the house around 4:45 and made it to Toys R Us by 5. We were SUPER excited to see that it wasn't a madhouse! I was pushing the stroller (no worries- Henry was completely covered up with the little canopy things on the stroller & carseat- PLUS had a blanket over that- so no germs.) and Ryan pushed a cart. We picked up the few things at Toys R Us and were out of there within 30 minutes- YEAH!!! Unfortunately, on the way out, WHO of ALL people do I run into????? Dr. Pastoriza!!! Ummm.. talk about embarrassing!!!! He literally had just delivered my baby 4 days earlier... ughhh... I couldn't even look him in the eyes- just too weird, right?

After Toys R Us, we ran over to Target. I was pretty sure the ONE item I wanted (a dual headrest set of portable dvd players- 88 bucks!) was going to be gone. There were an insane amount of people there! Thankfully, we found our DVD player, along with a few DVD's (can't resist those 3.99 DVDs!!!) and got out of there relatively quickly. We were home and done by 7; 2 hours... that's not bad! And we got some great deals! :) I quickly realized the hard part was NOT in the shopping itself- its staying up until Maeve's nap time which is still 4 hours away... ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. My whole body hurts and my brain is screaming for some rest. I suppose I brought it on myself though... all in the name of shopping!
