How far can $10.00 go?

Actually 9.79 to be exact :) So before Maeve started running her fever this morning (see post below this-)we went out to Target. I had gotten this awesome coupon booklet in the mail and had matched up a ton of q's with sales and stuff. Besides a really ornery cashier who was ticked to see me get stuff for super cheap, it was a good morning.

Here's the pic & breakdown:

-I did 2 transactions- the first trans. was a gift card deal. If you bought 5 quaker granola bar delight things, you got a 5.00 gift card. We got coupons in yesterdays paper for these so I thought it was a good way to start.

Trans #1:
5 Quaker bars (1 box isn't shown due to me already opening it and eating one :) @ 2.79 each
= around 13 bucks
used (5) $1.00 coupons bringing my total to 8.48, got back a 5.00 gift card.

Trans #2:
2 electrosol dish tabs @ 3.49 each
12 packs of bic pens @ 99 cents each
1 pack of huggies @ 9.79
2 Johnson & Johnson foaming bath pumps @ 2 for 7.00
8 packs of Johnson & Johnson baby cotton swabs @ 1.29

Coupons used:
(2) 2.50 electrosol manu
(2) 1.00 elecrosol target (making the electrosol 9 cents per pack!)
(6) 1.00 off 2 BIC target
(6) 1.00 off 2 BIC manu (making all the pens free)
(1) 2.00 off 2 Johnson & Johnson manu
(10) 1.00 off 1 Johnson & Johnson Target coupon (THESE are a printable!!!!! -on the target coupon generator page)
(1) 3.00 Huggies manu coupon
(1) 1.50 Huggies Target coupon
(1) 5/25 Target baby purchase
Bringing my grand total to 6.31
I used the $5.00 gift card from the 1st trans, making my grand total out of pocket to 1.31. Yea! It was a good morning of deals since yesterday (Sunday I didn't get to go out at all...)

P.S. Scroll down to read Maeve's first blog entry all about life with diarrhea. :)
