Countdown!

Well life around here has been pretty B-O-R-I-N-G! Poor Maeve, I've been just completely exhausted and therefore our days consists of doing....not much. We've been waking up around 8 or so, I make breakfast (lately Maeve has been loving bananas & raisin toast), and then its reading books, playing in our tiny house & watching Disney allllll morning long- YIKES. Lunch is around 11:30 or 12, and then comes a bath & nap time (so we got Maeve off the bottles but the only way to get her to sleep is giving her a bath- so now she gets 2 baths- one before nap and one before bed. She's a clean baby!). This past week I've been sleeping through her naps instead of doing the thousand things that need to be done around here. Its like any energy I once had has been completely sucked out! I'm blaming the weather... and that's what leads me to the point of this post- COUNTDOWN!!!

We officially have less than TWO WEEKS until vacation!!!!! I am SO excited!!! :) And yes, Ryan & I are counting down the days. Our last Disney trip (in October '08) was one of the best trips I've ever taken- and that was only for 4 days. So I have great expectations for our 10 day trip! We're planning on going to Universal for 2 days, visiting my grandma in Crescent City for 3 days and spending 5 days in St. Augustine. I already have a handful of restaurants that we HAVE to go to and an ever growing list of activities. I think what I am most excited for is to have 10 days AWAY from Jackson and out of this house. I am just soooo sick of sitting here each and every day while the weather decides to be either freezing or slightly freezing.

Oh- this is a bit of topic, but we did end up taking Maeve to the museum (Ann Arbor's Hands ON) this past weekend. She had a good time in the toddler room- now I guess the question would be, was it worth 18.00? Hmmm...NO. I was actually pretty disappointed with the place. There really wasn't much for Maeve to do besides play in the toddler room and that was just like a glorified nursery. Maybe the reason I didn't like it very much is because this past summer we just happened to go to the BEST hands on kids museum EVER (in Boston). But whatever the reason, I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. Chelsea Treehouse (which is WAY cheaper and WAY closer) offers SO much more for her.

Thats all for now! :)

Sorry to hear you guys didn't care for AAHOM. I've gone a few times... awhile back with the 2 little girls I used to nanny and then again last year when Porter had just turned 2. Even though he didn't understand 90% of the exhibits he had a lot of fun just dinking around with things. Maybe next year Maeve will enjoy the rest of the museum a little more.

Have fun in Florida... I wish I were heading somewhere warm!!

I am super jealous of your florida trip-- we were supposed to go in October but it doesn't look like that's going to happen this year. So I am hoping for next spring. And if it makes you feel any better I have been beyond exhausted lately myself!
